Great teaser. Grabbed my attention and ended with unexpected closure. I would considered working more on anticipation where the squash part of the present gets squashed down as it lands and finally the release of the top. Also add more anticipation and further exaggerate the popping out of the other presents, too. The the creature at the end could have been anticipation and exaggerated as well as it pops out of the final small present. The tops of each present have to land back down and not disappear because I did expect them to fall back down; but then again, there could be other reasons why you didn't included.

Most of the fix I would consider is stretch the limits of the squash and anticipation.
